Job Description - Opportunity to head the Finance function for a leading Fintech in the Indian market

Description

1. Lead the finance function of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

2. Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

3. Manage the financial planning and budgeting process, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.

4. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

5. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.

6. Lead the FP&A team in conducting variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning to support strategic initiatives.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate investment opportunities, assess risks, a.nd optimize capital allocation.

8. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations.

9. Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

10. Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other external parties to ensure compliance and transparency in financial reporting.

Profile

1. Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with a focus on controllership and FP&A.

2. Strong understanding of NBFC industry dynamics, regulations, and financial products.

3. Proven track record of leadership and strategic thinking, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

4. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

5. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws.

6. Experience with financial systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.

7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment.

9. Strong ethical values and commitment to integrity in all aspects of financial management.
