Job Title: Finance Head.

Location: Mumbai.

Reports To: Director.

Department: Finance.

Position Overview:.

- The Finance Head will oversee all financial activities of the organization, providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring sound financial management practices.

- This role is pivotal in driving financial planning, risk management, and compliance, while supporting the organization's goals and ensuring long-term financial health.

- The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in finance, particularly within the diamond or luxury goods sectors.

Key Responsibilities:.

Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis:.

- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's vision. and objectives.

- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making and long-term. planning.

- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Director and executive team based. on financial data.

- Preparing MIS for management and monitoring and planning overall nos of the Co.

Financial Management and Reporting:.

- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets,. income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including. monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and internal policies.

- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas. for improvement.

Investor Relationship:.

- Updating and resolving queries of key investors and board members. And ensuring all. shareholders are regularly updated on the progress of the company.

- Active involvement in Fund Raising process including building Biz plans, valuations, pitching,. sending data and reports and closing the fund raise with VCs and PEs.

- Also continuously liaison with Investment Banker.

Risk Management and Compliance:.

- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

- Oversee risk management practices, including insurance, contracts, and financial exposures. related to the diamond industry.

- Develop and implement effective risk management policies and procedures.

- Ensure robust internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and ensure the. accuracy of financial information.

- Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.

Budgeting and Forecasting:.

- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts to support dynamic business. planning.

- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and. implementing corrective actions.

- Collaborate with departmental leaders to align financial goals with operational objectives.

Treasury and Cash Management:.

- Manage the company's liquidity and cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for. operations and strategic initiatives.

- Oversee relationships with banks and financial institutions, ensuring effective management of. financing and investment activities.

- Oversee capital structure and investment strategies to optimize financial resources.

- Develop and maintain banking relationships, raising debt funding and manage financial risks,. including currency and interest rate exposures.

Cost Control and Operational Efficiency:.

- Develop and implement cost control measures to enhance operational efficiency and. profitability.

- Conduct financial assessments of business operations and propose improvements to reduce. costs and increase value.

- Oversee the financial aspects of inventory management, including valuation, pricing. strategies, and turnover analysis.

Leadership and Team Development:.

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. and excellence.

- Ensure the finance team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to meet. organizational goals.

- Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging cross-functional. teamwork.

Industry-Specific Financial Management:.

- Provide financial oversight for diamond-related transactions, including valuation, pricing, and. trading activities.

- Ensure financial integrity and transparency in the sourcing and distribution of diamonds.

- Stay informed about industry trends and developments, and assess their impact on the. company's financial strategy.

Special Projects and Industry-Specific Tasks:.

- Lead financial aspects of strategic projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, and new business. initiatives.

- Provide financial insights into the diamond supply chain, including valuation, pricing. strategies, and inventory management.

- Oversee financial considerations related to the ethical sourcing and traceability of diamonds.

Qualifications:.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) is preferred.

- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.

Experience:.

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

- Proven experience in the diamond industry or luxury goods sector is preferred.

- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting within a global context.

Skills:.

- Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques.

- Proficient in financial management software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
