Head of Finance & Statutory Compliance

Role: Accountable for finance and statutory compliances functions of the parent company in India (Bangalore Headquarters and Coimbatore SEZ Unit) and its US Subsidiary. The company has SEZ and STPI units. The company recently had a strategic investor which is a US based NASDAQ listed company to which regular financial reporting will have to be made.

Salary range: Max CTC 25 lpa

Reports to: CEO

Primary Responsibilities: Finance, Accounting, and Compliance

- Accounting and Statutory Compliance: Lead a small team of accounting professionals to ensure accurate and timely submission of all statutory filings and reports to the management and the US investor.

- Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgeting & Cost Control, Transfer Pricing and Tax Planning: Work with the Business Unit and Corporate Managers to implement the necessary processes to be able to closely monitor the expenses, sales forecasts, and revenue realization, and recommend the budget and its revisions. Implement the financial controls and processes necessary for the expense and cost control. Proactively do the tax planning by keeping track of and utilizing the various benefits and tax incentives made available.

- Risk Mitigation: Assess and monitor all the financial risks to the company and implement the appropriate measures including insurance for assets and business liabilities.

- Forex and Cash Management: Manage the cash reserves of the company in various currencies along with decisions on investments.

- Processes and Automation: Improve processes with the judicious use of automation and software to ensure accuracy and improve the speed at which the MIS reports can be produced.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

- Absolute integrity in all matters.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance. Experience in an IT organisation with international operations will be seen as a plus.

- Good understanding of financial and accounting principles including knowledge of US GAAP, IGAAP and of statutory and regulatory matters. Experience in scenario planning / analysis would be a plus.

- Proactive communication and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage, guide, motivate and lead team members.

- MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant / equivalent degree. Competence and track record will be valued more than the academic qualifications.
