- Formulate processes required by business and ERP systems requirements

- Company secretary - efficient administration with regard to compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Major Areas of Responsibilities :

A. BU Finance Management :

1) Providing financial, commercial and strategic support to CEO and Management Team to promote profitable growth and business excellence

2) Financial / operations analysis, performance planning (ABP/SBP) & reporting, new business initiatives.

3) Effective finance organization with adequately trained personnel with clear-cut roles and accountability.

4) Facilitating timely action on internal audit observations.

5) ERP training facilities for finance / non-finance users.

6) Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations

7) Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced

8) Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors

B. Financial Accounting :

1) Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes. cost center and profit center accounting, asset accounting, bank accounting, controlling, integration with project system and materials management.

2) Give project billing guidelines: Cost plus billing / FT based billing

3) Ensure billing methods implemented to account for all indirect costs to a project

4) Decide billing structure for any proprietary software service after taking into account cost of customization etc.

5) Strict adherence to accounting policies / systems and monthly book closure reporting deadlines.

6) Data security in respect of all BU accounting records.

C. Cost Management & MIS :

1) Create Q-o-Q budget considering attrition rates, current market value of FTEs, expected future value of FTEs, fixed assets, new business expected etc.

2) Analyze the financial performance of a unit or customers or manpower of the unit and provide analytical and recommendatory reports

3) Segment revenue / costs / profitability analysis through standardized MIS Reporting Systems.

4) Reconciliation of the MIS figures to enable single version of truth, periodic audits for data reconciliation

5) Control costs by conducting a cost benefit analysis of CAPEX vs. OPEX for fixed costs like office, laptops etc.

D. Finance & Control :

1) Working capital analysis and controls.

2) Create guidelines for metrics like revenue/employee, cost/employee, target attrition rates etc.

3) Control costs of internal/proprietary software by conducting cost-benefit of building in-house vs. purchasing (total or in parts)

4) Processing transactions under AR / AP and treasury systems including authorization, recording and accounting with correct Account/MIS Codes.

5) Ensuring data/system discipline and adequacy of internal controls in all operations/systems, review of exception reports - monitoring authorization and corrective action.

6) Monitoring cash balances & forecasts

7) Tracking and scenario analysis of financial risks and mitigation mechanisms

8) Overall point of contact for resolution of audit queries - both internal and external

E. Statutory/Policy Compliance :

1) Compliance with income-tax, excise duty, service tax, value-added tax while evolving appropriate business solutions for complex transactions of job work, sales and purchases.

2) Accounting records (digital and documentary) - formats (statutory requirement), storage & archiving, retrieval and retention for statutory periods.

F. Legal :

1) Scrutinizing all agreements signed by the company including customer contracts

2) Handling all legal correspondences of company

3) Coordination with corporate legal department as required

G. Company Secretary

1) Linkage between company, board of directors, shareholders, government and regulatory authorities

2) Ensuring board procedures are followed and reviewed regularly, providing guidance to chairman and board of directors on their responsibilities under various laws

3) Reporting to the Board about compliance applicable to the company

4) Ensuring that the company complies with the applicable standards

5) Discharging other company secretary duties as may be required

Qualification :

- CA+CS

- Company Secretary certificate of practice

Experience :

- 15+ years of experience in handling day-to-day finance operations in IT services organisation

- 15+ years of experience as a business CFO or head of finance functions such as budgeting, tax, financial planning & analysis, accounting, risk management

- Company Secretary, Knowledge of ERP systems, analytics technologies landscape

Skills Required :

Operational & Financial :

- Understanding of business model, cost and revenue drivers in IT services business and regulatory / compliance regime

- Deep knowledge of best practices in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring and variance analysis

- Understanding of accounting, taxation process, cash management, insurance, regulatory compliance

People :

- Ability to lead and manage teams and provide vision and inspiration
