VNR Advisory has been retained by a leading group into the automotive industry to help find a suitably experienced candidate for the Finance Head role with the manufacturing BU. The Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the BU, driving the financial strategy, and ensuring the company's financial health. This role demands a deep understanding of the automotive manufacturing space and the ability to manage complex financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's objectives.

- Prepare and manage long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.

- Analyze financial performance and develop action plans to improve profitability.

Financial Management:

- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, tax, and treasury.

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize financial performance.

Leadership and Team Management:

- Lead and mentor the finance team.

- Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

- Provide strategic financial insights to the senior management team.

- Drive the implementation of financial best practices across the organization.

Risk Management:

- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management policies.

- Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with corporate governance standards.

- Conduct financial risk assessments and develop contingency plans.

Stakeholder Management:

- Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and other stakeholders.

- Represent the company in negotiations with key financial partners and stakeholders.

- Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to leadership teams.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

- Monitor industry trends and economic developments to inform financial planning.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)

- Minimum of 12 years of experience in finance; with 5 years in a leadership role.

- Deep knowledge of the Indian automotive industry.

- In-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and tax regulations.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a high-performing team.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
