JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Head - F&A for Vehicle Leasing

Reports to: HOD- Leasing

Location: Mumbai'

To ensure compliance of all statutory norms for good corporate governance, to ensure overall accounting & financial control on important operating activities, maintaining overall control & accuracy of data and to provide management with timely analytical financial information supported by facts and explanations enabling operative & strategic decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Spearheading the finance & accounts function and administering the finalization of monthly/ quarterly/half-yearly/ year-end financial statements for Leasing business vertical in compliance with time & accuracy norms.

- Ensuring payments, capitalization, lease commencement, and invoicing of vehicles

- Managing receipting of rental payments

- Formulating annual budgets & conducting variance analysis to determine the difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions.

- Monitoring client-level profitability for the leasing business

- Responsible for statutory, RBI and other compliances

- Developing, implementing & maintaining a comprehensive system ensuring tax compliances & assessments. Liaising with Taxation Authorities for assessment including timely filing of monthly, quarterly & annual GST etc;

- Working closely with the business head, sales team, operations and fleet management for smooth business functionality with quality parameters.

- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly/Quarterly/Annual financial statements

- Analytical preparation and presentation of performance comparisons against set budgets with judicious variance explanations

- Accurate and timely accounting for all transactions - borrowings, investments, lending business, capital and revenue expenditure, provisions, securitizations / assignments, NPA & repossessed asset provisioning, employee benefits, etc

- Verify and check all control accounts/balances / Trial Balances etc

- Preparation of IFRS / Ind-AS compliant accounts

Decision Making Authority (Describes the type of decisions made alone, those on which the manager must be consulted, those referred to a higher level, and job procedures to be followed).

- Decisions pertaining preparations of financial reporting, compliance matters, control etc.

- Job procedures are followed as per internal guidelines and manuals.

- To grant leaves to team, training recommendations, confirmation & appraisals.

- Recommended decision making authority.

Sales Supervisors, Business Leads, Fleet Mgmt. Head, Operations Executive, Credit Head, Accounts & Legal

Professional Qualification Skills Knowledge Competencies :

- Proven track record of having handled/worked in commercial function.

- Min. 15 years of Commercial experience and risk management. Sectoral experience in Pre-owned Car or Leasing preferred. Relevant sectoral experience includes Automobile Manufacturing and asset heavy sectors.

- MBA/CA/FRM/CFA

- Accounting Principles.

- Accounting Standards.

- Application Knowledge-MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and any financial accounting s/w.

- Analytical Ability.

- Interpretation of rules & regulations.

- Accounting Knowledge.

- Communication Skills.

- Good Interpersonal Skills.
