A. Budgeting
1. Assist in the process of developing and reviewing budgets
2. Provide accurate cash-flow projections to the Finance Sub-Committee.
3. Provide monthly budget reports to the Managing Director and working closely with him to enable him to make accurate decisions.
4. Work on the development of the annual budget.
5. Costing- Evaluation, Monitoring & Control
B. Annual Accounts
1. Lead on any recommendations that are suggested in the audit report.
2. Act as the first point of contact for the auditors, and communicate with them to ensure all questions can be answered efficiently.
3. Prepare the draft annual statutory accounts.
4. Production of a statutory based set of management accounts, including balance sheet, on a monthly basis
5. Responsible for the finalization of yearly balance sheet as per the Calendar year and as per the fiscal year.
6. Mange the fixed assets register of the organization
C. Management Support
1. Ensure timely payment of debtors and invoicing of creditors.
2. Administer the bank accounts
3. Undertake other duties as delegated by Managing Director
4. Provide the updated financial information to the Managing Director as and when required.
5. Act as a support function to the MD & CEO and the Board
6. Assisting the Management in the Strategic decision and Policy formations
7. Assisting the Management in Mergers/ Acquisitions/ buy-make decisions
D. Financial procedures
1. Develop and maintain thorough financial procedures for the organization
2. Ensure all finance records are kept accurately and securely and in line with Statutory requirements
3. Ensure financial policies are being adhered to as set out in the COMPANY financial guidelines.
4. Develop Chart of Accounts
5. Ensure Finance Department and organisation as a whole are kept abreast of any significant implications arising from changes in accounting rules
E. Corporate Responsibilities
1. Attend supervision, team meetings, training and other meetings as required.
2. Maintain effective working relationships with company’s external partners.
3. Work towards the achievement of company’s annual business plans.
4. Work on Special projects as needed
5. Make recommendations on how the organisation should adopt best practice in terms of financial reporting
6. Liaison with the Bankers, Auditors, Government department and others
7. Liaison with group company & parent company
8. Build Effective Finance/ Accounts team & make effective second line
