Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and oversee long-term financial strategies aligned with the overall business plan, providing expert guidance and strategic oversight.
- Capital Management: Monitor and ensure the organization's financial health, capital adequacy, and effective capital allocation.
- Funding Strategy: Define and implement funding plans to support strategic growth, including managing relationships with banks and financial institutions to optimize and de-risk funding.
- Corporate Transactions: Participate in the planning and execution of significant corporate transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, and de-mergers.
- Investor Relations: Manage investor perception and maintain the company's credit rating in financial markets.
- Budget and Fund Management: Oversee budgeting processes and fund deployment to ensure smooth operations and effective use of surplus funds.
- Accounting and Taxation: Provide critical inputs on accounting and tax policies, and collaborate with auditors for account reviews prior to board presentations.
- Risk Management: Guide the development and adherence to the Risk Management framework, addressing risks associated with financial transactions through comprehensive risk mitigation plans.
- Management Consultation: Regularly consult with and update management on critical decisions and strategic inputs.
- Team Development: Develop and mentor successors for key roles, and manage people development initiatives to build a capable and motivated finance team.
- Secretarial and CSR Support: Ensure board support and oversight of secretarial and CSR initiatives through relevant team members.
