About our Client - Our client is one of the country's most admired manufacturing giants listed on NSE and BSE, set to grow exponentially by way of various innovative marketing and product development initiatives. They have presence in more than 75 countries and are looking for an experienced professional from manufacturing industry to head Finance and Accounts function at their Plant based in Uttarakhand.
Job Description - Reporting to the CFO and handling a team of 4-5 people, you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for monthly and statutory reporting, ensuring timely consolidation of Plant accounts, and improving the efficiency of the reporting timetable in line with corporate initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the maintenance of statutory books of accounts including inventory accounting and fixed assets accounting.
- Continuously evaluate internal control environment, while ensuring that robust controls and compliance thereof are in place in line with legal and internal processes and functional SOPs, and suggest improvements.
- Effective management and timely completion of external and internal audits at Plant.
- Ensuring compliance to all statutory requirements related to direct and indirect tax laws i.e. Excise, Customs, Sales Tax, VAT, Insurance, and Income Tax including audits. This will also include completion of tax audits, liaising with excise authorities and other tax authorities and getting the assessments finalized.
- Responsible for active participation and support in various process improvement and automation initiatives (financial, accounting and business processes), in close coordination with the ERP (primarily SAP) implementation team.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and report a comprehensive set of Key Performance Indicators, in particular to improve visibility around manufacturing efficiency and costing.
- Responsible for team management, team development, team motivation and performance management.
The Successful Candidate - You are a qualified CA/ICWA with 10 to 12 years experience of working in a Plant set-up in a medium/ large size listed company environment. You must be well versed with I-GAAP/IFRS reporting and should have managed a team of 2-3 people. Further sound knowledge of SAP and a vision to use IT to drive business would go a long way in strengthening your candidature.
