Head - External Reporting & Payroll

Role : This position will lead external reporting in line with statutory requirements and be instrumental in improving the quality of the Group's consolidated financial reporting. This position will also handle Payroll for the Group.

Reporting Line : This position will report to The Global Controller and Vice President Finance.

Main responsibilities :

Reporting :

- Production of high quality financial accounts and reports for the Group and subsidiary companies.

- Ensure timely release of Monthly reports in line with the published timelines.

- Ensure smooth coordination with Statutory and Internal Auditors.

- Ensure all Financial policies are periodically reviewed and revised as necessary and in line with the company's business requirements.

- Ensuring the company complies with all regulatory requirements regarding financial reports.

- Establish a strong review process on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis.

- Working with the other Finance and Business functions to ensure business results are correctly reflected in various Financial Reports.

- Administer, develop and improve the accuracy of SAP / BCS / BI consolidation modules.

- Automate processes and controls as far as possible with the help of latest IT solutions and in coordination with various Functions including IT teams.

- Developing and implementing best practice processes and systems across the Group.

- Technical accounting support to operating businesses

- Supporting on a variety of ad hoc projects as required

Payroll :

- Ensure the Payroll process is followed as per timelines

- All policies relating to Payroll are periodically reviewed

- Value added analysis on payroll

- Ensure Payroll accounting is accurate and timely

- Periodically review the employee escalation mechanism and address employee pain points

- Statutory compliances relating to Payroll are adhered to

- Coordination between various teams like HR, Global mobility and Business is appropriately facilitated

Other specifications :

- Qualified chartered accountants with around 8 to 10 years relevant experience. Exposure to IndAS and IFRS will be preferred.

- Should have expertise in dealing with Big 4 Statutory Auditors preferably

- Fluent experience of preparing consolidated financial statements for an international group listed in India.

- Strong analytical abilities, excellent writing and interaction skills; you will also enjoy problem solving and working under pressure.

- Should be resourceful and ready to get involved across the full spectrum of Group finance responsibilities.

- Experience of having handled payroll processes and compliances relating to Payroll.

- Exposure to SAP is desirable

- Should be a team player

- Should have experience of handling teams of atleast 10

- Strong written and oral communications.

- Interaction with Business teams
