A leading Wealth management firm specializing in managing HNI and UHNI clients is seeking to hire the under said

Head of Equity Research

Key Responsibilities:

Financial:

- Delivering well researched ideas (buy and hold as well as trading) to wealth managers and clients.

- Maintain rationale for all the calls and present report wherever necessary with recommendations to the clients.

- Responsible to increase broking volumes by engaging with relevant stakeholders and constantly maintaining a focus on strategy.

People:

- Engaging with clients on researched calls effectively to increase share of wallet.

- Preparing periodic commentaries on markets, sectors and stocks.

- Attend company management meetings and industry meetings.

- Ensuring investment opportunities are communicated to clients through cohesive, consistent and easy- to-understand messages.

- Represent firm views in media.

- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure a strong partnership is formed in order to deliver expected results.

- Manage the research team/ analyst team, train a core team of research analysts and to maintain a comprehensive information database.

- Ensure that communications channels between research and sales teams is seamlessly put in place through proper systems and process.

Risk and Governance:

- Ensure research reports, trade recommendations are in line with the quality and business requirements of the organization.

- Drive a strong compliance and control culture, by ensuring adherence to compliance, quality standards, internal policies and regulatory obligations

Key Role Requirements:

Education - CFA/CA/CPA or equivalent degree in Commerce, Business, Economics or Business Economics

- Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Business with specialization in Finance or equivalent

Certifications (if any) - Certified Research Analyst (NISM)

Experience - 12-15 years of experience in fundamental research spanning at least 3 different sectors

- Working knowledge of technical analysis is a must

- Prior experience with leading a team - Desirable

Technical Skills - In-depth understanding of fundamental analysis

- Ability to build financial models

- Effective written communication including ability to write commentaries and research reports

- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and the impact of risks is essential

- Ability to educate dealers and clients on report findings of the data analysis
