Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated EHS Head to lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives within our FMCG client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulations, promote a safe and healthy work environment, and drive sustainability efforts across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

EHS Strategy and Management:

- Develop and implement the company's EHS strategy, policies, and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.

- Lead EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

- Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards.

- Implement risk mitigation strategies and safety protocols to prevent accidents and incidents.

- Investigate incidents and near misses, and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Training and Development:

- Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.

- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

- Ensure that all employees are adequately trained on emergency response procedures and safety practices.

Sustainability and Environmental Management:

- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.

- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, including waste management, energy usage, and water conservation.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.

Health and Wellness Programs:

- Implement health and wellness programs to promote employee well-being.

- Monitor workplace conditions and ergonomics to prevent occupational illnesses and injuries.

- Manage occupational health services, including medical surveillance and employee assistance programs.

Emergency Preparedness and Response:

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.

- Coordinate emergency drills and training sessions.

- Serve as the primary contact for emergency response situations.

Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS records and documentation.

- Prepare and submit regular reports on EHS performance to senior management.

- Ensure proper documentation of all incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

Experience:

- Minimum of 15-18 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within the FMCG/Pharma industry.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) are a plus.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

- Proficient in using EHS management software and tools.
