Location : Chennai
The role requires creating appropriate and smart risk management strategies to keep the Firm within defined risk parameters and comply with regulatory requirements while maximizing business opportunities. Working with the Group Head of ERM, support and shape key components of the Group's ERM Framework, and support the planning and delivery of the ERM Framework
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Develop the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy for the Company
- Building and leading a highly collaborative and proactive Business Risk function
- Setting up teams (Operational Risk, Credit Risk, Interest Rate and Market Risk, Stress Testing) and managing the Enterprise wide Risk
- Evaluate the adequacy of the company's internal control framework in addressing Risks and accomplishing the company's goals and objectives
- Setting the vision and strategy for Enterprise Risk function across the Company
- Building a Robust Risk Management framework and architecture for the Company
- Proactively identify emerging risks and report to relevant stakeholders
- Meeting business needs and regulatory expectations with responsibility for investigating key aspects of each model under review
- Responsible for compiling, assessing and reporting risk information to the top management and the Board
- Ensuring a system-wide view and understanding of the combined risks of the business and their inter-relationships (interest rate risk, liquidity risk, operating risk, credit risk, and regulatory risk)
- Partnering effectively and appropriately with third parties, regulatory bodies and others, and serving as a role model for high personal and corporate ethical values and standards of integrity
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Around 11 - 15 years of total experience with around 7 years of functional Enterprise Risk Experience in BFSI is essential
- A recognized Master degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business or related disciplines CA, CPA, CFA, MBA, BE or a related advance degree
- Good knowledge and grasp of NBFC / BFSI practices, financial markets at a higher level and awareness of the country regulatory Framework, who can represent the firm in front of regulators, legislators, and other key constituents
- Ability to make independent decisions with a strong sense of empowerment and leadership skills
- Must have high ethical standards, credibility and a commitment to best practices
- Strong analytical and dispute resolution skills
- Effectively interact with the leadership at the Firm and also with the Board as appropriate
- Proactive and self-driven
- Process oriented and Strategic thinking
- Business acumen
- Good communication and presentation skills
