Accountabilities :
Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the Group
- Establish and lead the Enterprise Risk Management program across the group that will provide guidance as well as checks and balances to risk exposure in the businesses.
- Defining the risk architecture for the organization, develop an overall risk management strategy, establishing a robust framework for the organization, putting in place the procedures, guidelines and standards for an enterprise-wide risk management function, addressing all aspects of risks including strategic, financial, operational and governance risks.
Risk Management Process :
- Formal identification of risks at the Sector / Business Unit level leading to creation of risk registers using process of risk assessment, developing treatment plans, ownership of risks, formal review and periodic tracking of the risks and action plans to ensure no surprises.
- Generate risk reports/risk registers for bids / new markets / opportunities, nascent businesses, diversification into segments within existing businesses to aid management decision making.
- Integration of risk management to the Strategic and Annual Operating Plans of Sectors, Business Units, Corporate Services functions and facilitate Plan B action planning.
Aggregation and reporting :
- Assist in aggregating and reporting key sector risks to the Business Steering Committees, Board Committees and Group Holding Board (GHB) level for timely action and review.
- E-enable the capture and reporting of risks
Training and awareness :
- Conduct training programs for executives to create awareness about the risk management process
- Create a risk awareness culture by preparing periodical risk newsletters, risk alerts, case studies for relevant sectors/businesses.
Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan :
- Ensure the formulation and implementation of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for all key assets across the Group.
Thought leadership and Best practices :
- Provide thought leadership and drive new and innovative initiatives in the risk-related field like:
- Establishment and deployment of newer frameworks for Contractual Risk Review, Project Risk Management, Risk Appetite, etc.
- Provide inputs for improvising various Internal Policies like Forex policy, Treasury policy, Insurance policy etc. across the Group.
