Head - Engineering & Enterprise Architect - FinTech

Role Overview:

The role will be instrumental in shaping the technical vision and strategy of our organization, with a specific focus on the finance domain. The role involves leading our engineering teams, managing software development projects tailored to brokerage services, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and designing and implementing enterprise-wide architecture to support our investment and insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and professional development.

- Oversee the development and implementation of front-end and back-end systems specifically designed for brokerage services in investment and insurance.

- Ensure the reliability and optimal performance of all internal systems, with a keen eye on improvements that can be made for brokerage operations.

- Uphold stringent compliance standards, implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive client information and financial data.

- Drive technological innovation by integrating advanced technologies such as AI, blockchain, and cloud computing, tailored to the finance and brokerage domain.

- Cultivate relationships with external vendors and partners, assessing and integrating third-party solutions that enhance our brokerage services.

- Manage software development projects with precision, setting clear objectives, timelines, and adhering to agile methodologies specific to financial services.

- Lead the IT team to success, ensuring high performance, and supporting their professional growth within the finance and brokerage domain.

- Define and implement architectural principles, guidelines, and standards that align with the unique requirements of investment and insurance brokerage.

- Evaluate and advocate for emerging technologies and practices that strategically align with our brokerage services and overall company goals.

- Architect and document system designs, data flows, and integration points, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security specific to brokerage operations.

Requirements and Skills:

- Proven experience in a senior engineering role within the finance domain, particularly in investment and insurance brokerage.

- Extensive experience with cloud technologies, DevOps practices, AWS infrastructure, and modern interfaces tailored to financial services.

- Hands-on experience with technologies relevant to brokerage services, such as .Net Core, AngularJS, ReactJS, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies.

- Strong leadership skills, strategic mindset, excellent project management abilities, and experience with RPA implementation in the financial sector.

- Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise-level architecture frameworks, with a focus on best practices within the finance and brokerage industry.

- Proficiency in modeling and visualization tools used for architecture design in financial services (e.g., UML, ArchiMate).

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders without a technical background.

- Strategic thinker, able to align technology solutions with business objectives, particularly in the context of investment and insurance brokerage.
