Head - Engineering - Coatings/Formulations Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing clear direction, fostering -collaboration, and ensuring the efficient utilization of manpower.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.

- Effectively manage and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruptions.

- Maintain a well-stocked inventory of spare parts to guarantee efficient equipment repairs and minimize production delays.

- Plan, schedule, and prioritize engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with overall business objectives.

- Champion a culture of safety and compliance, overseeing adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all relevant safety regulations.

- Identify and implement corrective actions to address equipment failures, process inefficiencies, and quality control issues.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, minimize material waste, and optimize energy consumption.

- Lead the evaluation and selection of new engineering equipment to enhance production capabilities and meet evolving needs.

- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, consultants, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution, communication, and problem-solving.

- Provide regular progress reports and manage communication related to engineering projects and activities.

- Manage internal and external communication, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring transparency.

- Forecast workload, prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively to ensure timely project delivery.

- Handle material management, bill tracking, and document control, maintaining accurate and organized records.

- Liaise with government authorities to obtain necessary permits and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).

- Minimum 15 years of experience in the coatings or formulations manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of success in a similar leadership role.

- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant equipment.

- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (a plus)
