Head - Engineering - AI Product

Role : Head of Engineering with an AI Product Company

Location : Hyderabad / Noida

Role Summary : We are now looking to induct a Head of Artificial Intelligence ( AI) for our Client as part of our core leadership team who will work with the Founders to build this business and company by leading our product and engineering efforts across AI, Data Engineering and Product Development.

Job Description :

- The leader will have the opportunity to build out his/her team and hence we are looking for strong technology leaders who can build, manage and motivate a strong team. Should be hands-on and enjoy solving deep technical issues

- Think and operate independently however also have the capability to work closely with the business leaders and exhibit high business empathy

- Create a foundation of deep customer understanding which will allow us to serve customers better in the short term but also monetise our tech back-bone through a SaaS offering in the future

- Think strategically about build vs. buy vs. partner decisions enabling them to define and deliver Organisation's longer term technology roadmap in the fastest manner possible without compromising on scalability and frugality.

- Have strong project management experience and capabilities to execute and deliver this roadmap.

- Strong technical capabilities across

- AI frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, scikit-learn, spaCy, and others.

- Data engineering on the cloud

- App development (back end and front end) / Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with

Skills & Experience :

- 15+ Years of experience with at least 10 years hands-on experience in the AI / ML in a IT Product Setup.

- Proven track record of leading, developing, and scaling a world-class product

- A strong grasp of product management best practices (how to organize a roadmap, how to plan specific features, how to coordinate across teams, etc.), and engineering best practices (organizing teams, sprint execution, etc.), and a track record of converting those best practices into action

- Empathy for our customers and the ability to understand and prioritize their needs via user feedback, user research, experimentation, and data

- Experience in AI , ML , Data Science , Python, R, or Java

- Good experience of distributed systems, data infrastructure, & client/server architectures.

- Experience of building Applications on Cloud Computing

- Experienced in defining and realizing end-to-end Technical Architecture for large scale IT Products / Applications

- Experience in creating and reviewing technical documents like Architecture blueprint, Design specifications, Deployment architecture etc.

- Good skills in at least one RDBMS (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL) and NoSQL DB like Cassandra / Mongo DB

- Exposure to Agile methodologies & Continuous Integration Tools

- Good understanding of Cloud Hosted SaaS products & AI- experience in working with any of AWS, Google or Azure cloud .

- Good to have experience in Python and R as development languages with their frameworks like Pandas, matplotlib etc.

- Good to have development experience in statistical analysis, data modeling, algorithm development like linear regression, random forest and other classification methods.

- Good to have an experience on any of the front-end technologies like React.js, Angular.js etc.

- Inclination and ability to be hands-on and work side-by-side with engineers.

- Solid business and strategic intuition

- A metrics-driven approach to product prioritization and feature and team performance

- Excellent communication, inter-personal, liaison and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
