Head Employee relation
This position has core focus on leading the development, deployment and delivery of Employee Relations strategy across Ecosystem and compliances for all the employees who are by definition workers under the ID Act where is employer or the Principal employer. This position is tasked with changing and modernizing behaviors and building positive and healthy Employer-Employee relationships and further ensuring the Organization is safeguarded against any litigation and organization interest is protected
through cordial IR environment.
Roles and responsibilities:
Formulation of ER Strategy:
- Design an over-arching Employee Relations (ER) vision, mission, and strategy with the key focus on remodeling Employer-Employee relationships &; Case management.
- Formulise ER Strategy in collaboration with Business Unit and further guide implementation for various business entities of the company
- Set direction, create policy, and offer expert advice in all matters relating to adherence to company policies. Identify current & potential risks and evolve plans to mitigate employee issues.
- To carry out benchmark studies with peers' time to time to understand gaps and work to close these gaps in time bound manner.
- Reorganization of current ER organization as per business architect
- Incorporating latest ER best practices as per company's Ecosystem
- Imparting Training and awareness sessions related to ER in company's ecosystem.
- Responsible for updating self on the changes to labour laws, arbitration/court decisions and anything else that may affect employee- management relations.
Policy Formulation Operational Excellence:
- Support Business Unit and Operational and line managers in negotiations &; Drafting of SLA/Manpower and suggest improvements.
- Relook into Employee Life Cycle from Statutory and regulatory point of view.
- Govern the employer-employee relationship, upholding and protecting the obligations and rights of both parties.
- Advice, research, drafting, arbitration, and negotiation of matters related to issues such as breaches of contracts, discrimination, dismissals, and harassment.
- Providing legal representation in contentious cases and being part of various committees on Employee Resolution such as POSH committees.
- Ensuring the organization complies with the laws relating to the formation and cessation of employee relationships. This will likely relate to matters such as defending claims, drafting and negotiating employment contracts and advising on HR policies.
- Drafting and certification of Standing Orders and implementations.
Maintaining Employee Relation:
- Disciplinary Acton & proceeding as per HR policies and standing order of the company against employee (like issuing show cause notice, charge sheet, suspension).
- Protecting Employee and Employer rights as per the law of the land.
