Roles & Responsibilities:
- Managing EHS projects from the first to the final stage of execution and organizing drills & rehearsals in
- Analyzing the in-built safety and driving the development of HSE culture among employees
- Regulating project erection and commission i.e. Coke oven, Rolling Mill, Sinter PLANT, Power Plants and PCI
- Developing MIS reports on plant HSE performance and other location performance; drafting emergency response plans for in-Plant Operations
- Liaising between the company and safety, health and environment related governmental authorities, agencies, communities or professional services
- Directing safety inspections & audits, occupational health surveys, surveillance and field audits for compliance
- Extending advisory services on firefighting equipment and conducting audits to implement fire prevention measures in areas of improvement by determining nature of hazards
- Effectuating action plans in case of any emergency or fire detection and providing with measures for better work environment in the organization
- Providing management services to ensure that manual managing procedures and techniques are adhered to
- Reviewing & analyzing data from audits, accident investigations, near misses, concessions, defect reports and customer complaints to identify adverse trends and implement preventive action
- Implementing several safety measures for minimizing occurrence of accidents & calamities; conducting investigations for determining the cause of accidents
- Conducting safety inspections/audits, surveillance and field auditing for compliance
- Assuring that all incidents are reported in a timely manner; reviewing incidents with the team
- Participating in daily/ weekly and monthly safety meeting and extending project supportJob Specifications: An Engineering graduate from a good institute with at least 15 years experience in the field of EHS /SHE, presently working as Head- EHS in a manufacturing location of an organization of repute with minimum experience of 2 years in the role (i.e as Head - EHS).
(i) Should have experience in handling EHS function in a location with a minimum manpower of 1000
(ii) Should have working knowledge of Telugu
- Possession of Diploma in Safety from RLI/SLI or any integrated EHS qualification will be an added advantage
- Preference will be given to the candidate from Steel Industry
