About our Client - Our client a global food and beverages major with a market-leading position in health and wellness beverages in India. They operate out of multiple offices in over 25 countries. Custodians of established brands, they are an expanding business, and are looking for a motivated individual to head the newly-created position of Head - Direct Taxation.

Job Description - Reporting directly to the APAC CFO, your responsibilities will include the following across all verticals:

- Supervising and guiding preparation and filing of all returns, including income, tax audit and wealth tax returns

- Advising different business units on Transfer Pricing

- Reviewing and monitoring appeals proceedings

- Ensuring compliance to tax accounting practices, including advance tax, balance sheet positions and contingent liability

- Coordinating with external consultants (Big 4) to optimize processes

The Successful Candidate - You will be a CA with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience. You will be either a direct tax specialist at a Big 4 consultancy; or handling the direct tax practice in an FMCG major. You will have managed a team of at least 5 people and demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills throughout your professional career.
