Head - Direct Materials/Procurement & Planning - Chemicals/Infrastructure/Oil & Gas

- This position shall be responsible for purchase execution of base oils, additives and other key raw materials based on production planning, storage capacity and inventory guidelines.

- He / she shall be responsible for direct materials supplier relation management and will be a key point in ensuring adequate cover of raw material availability to cater for business requirements. Will play a key role in linking internal demand with the market dynamics all the while ensuring full compliance with internal purchase and audit compliance needs.

- Responsible for overseeing and improving the direct materials sourcing operations of the business to the tune of approx. 300 KTPA of base oils, additives, waxes, solvents and other key direct materials.

- Execute the purchase strategy vide thorough data analysis, track costs and evaluate inbound complexities with supply options, weigh term and spot buy options thru a dedicated evaluation process and market insight

- Track shipment w.r.t internal consumption patterns and space availability at sites so as to modify the quantity ordered or change the loading schedule of the shipments to optimize the usage of storage space and the financial resources.
