POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Designation - Head Digital & IT
Location : Kolkata
Experience - 18 - 26 yrs. with exposure of risk management in IT digitalization, information security and IT infrastructure.
Qualification - B.E/B.Tech (IT) or equivalent
Job Purpose: To provide leadership to the IT & Digital function by developing strategy roadmap and leading the IT operations in partnering with other Business functions to deliver Business results by leveraging modern technologies and smart use of digital tools, platforms, services, and processes across business.
Key Result Areas:
1. Setting and Implementing Digital Strategy for the Business:
- Develop a clearly-defined and compelling digital strategy for the Business sustainability and ensure all relevant digital initiatives are fully integrated into the strategic-planning process for leadership commitment, resource allocation and execution.
- Prepare IT strategy for all ongoing and new business in line with the business vision.
- Drive IT strategy, compliant with the Group strategies, out of the business strategy.
- Rollout best IT practices, systems and process across all divisions of Mining Business.
- Drive Adoption of shared services IT & standards.
- Setup standards for best use of Information systems
- Improving IT services in line with changing business requirements.
- Develop and implement systems that provide management data as required on a consistent and protected basis. Develops disaster recovery plans to ensure continued business operations.
2. Driving Business Transformation Journey:
- Prepare Business Transformation plan covering Technology, Process and People.
- Execution of Plan phase wise and ensure smooth implementation.
- Evaluate best Technology with suitable Implementation Partner for effective solution implementation as per the scope.
- Develop proper user acceptance strategy and ensure execution of related skill updation.
- Continuous improvement of system performance and deliverables
- Ensuring archiving Key business KPIs defined for each phase of the project.
- Streamline the ERP solution and resolve the ongoing system issues as per agreed SLAs.
- Prepare plan for skill development of the core team members and their career plan
- Driving Digital Innovation & build IT Savvy Organization
- Build, manage and continue to grow an internal and external digital innovation ecosystem, tapping into competencies across and beyond the organization (in an external partner network) to apply digital technologies to the business
- Work with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and business models.
- Design and prepare training plan for IT & ERP across all business.
- Measure coverage and impact of training on productivity.
- In house IT & ERP skill development plan and their execution.
- Increase usage of IT system applications for various process function wise.
3. IT Security:
- Define Information System Security Strategy in line with established industry standards convert them into implementable policies and ensure ongoing compliance across Business.
- Regular review with the CISCO to improve IT security setup & standards.
- Execute on time the IT security plan to achieve the GREEN standard defined by Group Policy.
4. Enterprise IT infrastructure:
- Review reports of IT systems critical to operations and ensure that suitable actions are taken to prevent malfunction/downtime of these systems.
- Consult with other function heads to determine IT requirements of various function and activities to determine boundaries and priorities of new IT projects, build business case and on approval develop and monitor deployment of project plans.
- Setting up scalable IT data infrastructure for all locations and connects to Group NOC
- Reducing network downtime both for LAN & WAN
- Optimization of network for best use with minimum cost
- Evaluate and select best technology for IT hardware including network devices.
- Setting up alternate network for continuity of the business
- Ensuring to maintain good health of IT resources including Data centres.
5. Customer Satisfaction:
- Formulate and drive Process and action plan by setting up structured platform capturing users feedback and improve them by continuous review with the Business.
- Ensure quality in IT projects, equipment and helpdesk services in the business through measuring participation and YOY CSAT scores.
6. Developing Digital Talent:
- Develop & nurtured Talent to build digital capabilities across the Business
- Provide mentorship to the Team for upskilling Talents.
- Ensure continuity of Competency building programmes for the Team and Business by leveraging modern technology.
