Our client is a 4 year old Fashion brand which has created waves in the women's work-wear section. They are providing the best western designs that fit Indian women of all shapes and sizes, and are catering to women across the globe, through their website and other ecommerce sites. Their premium range of outfits are already a rave with tens of thousands of working women in the metropolitan cities.

They have successfully collaborated with well known designers to create stylish pieces in luxury fabrics and plan to introduce accessories as well. The founder is an IIM-K alumna who has personally worked on the need of comfort wear by creating specific fits and tailor made-made clothes that works well with their customers.

As a Head of Design, you should live and breathe design, typography, color theory, and composition and be responsible for creating stunning designs that get printed on our products, majority of which are apparels and accessories.

What you will do:

- Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.

- Deciding on a theme for a collection.

- Working with others in the design team, such as buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.

- Using computer-aided design programs (CAD) to create designs.

- Visiting manufacturers or trade shows to get fabric samples.

- Selecting fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each garment or accessory.

- Working with other designers or team members to create a prototype design.

- Liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.

- Overseeing the final production of their designs.

- Working closely with cross functional teams such as marketing, content, media, supply chain and manufacturing etc

Candidate Profile:

What you need to have:

- Minimum 5 years managing a design team in product-based ecommerce companies.

Skills:Majorly adobe photoshop and illustrator. Skills on other design tools will be an added advantage.

- Possess expert understanding of graphic design.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail.

- Great team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Good leadership and mentoring skills.

- Will help management hire the right candidates and build highly skilled teams.

Qualification: Degree/diploma/certification from NID or NIFT

Experience: 6 to 10 years

Annual CTC: Rupees 10,00,000 to 20,00,000
