Head of Design| Reputed Textile and Apparel brand
Role Purpose:
The role holder leads the season wise brand concept development and guide the creative designers on the desired output. The role initiates, plans, and rolls out a comprehensive Design strategy across all Categories of Bed and Bath keeping the brand identity and consumers at the centre of the strategy to increase the Primary Trade Numbers and Market Acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
Curates and leads the season-wise Brand concept design and development as per the brand proposition strategy. The role collaboratively work with a team of creative designers & product merchandisers to achieve the desired output.
Range Development & Forecasting :
1. To strategize and plan the seasons collection in terms of products (new and existing best sellers), range composition and design the grid according to the products cost and the intended MRP.
2. Analyse the market and monitor current trends, collections, customer preferences and competitor activities through various mediums.
3. Identify target markets for design keeping in mind various Market Parameters.
4. Forecast Future Trends in Bed and Bath for the season and set guidelines on the design strategy for the season to the design team.
Technical & Professional knowledge required:
- Product Pricing
- Market Research in Bed & Bath Category
- Understanding of patterns, Designs and Category Mix
- Understanding of fabric and trims
- Knowledge of design tools etc.
- Understanding of standard design processes
Domain/Functional skills required:
- In-depth understanding about Fabrics
- Strong Analytical Skills to derive at insights from
- Market information, competitor performance and season wise brand performance
- Planning and Negotiation skills
- Design and Technology innovation.
Education Qualification: Bachelors OR Master's in Fashion Design/ Fashion Technology/ Fashion Management (NIFT, INIFD, NID etc.)
