Head - Design - FinTech/Payments/Consumer Tech

The Product Design Head will lead the design team in creating intuitive, innovative, and user-friendly interfaces for our payment gateway solutions. This role demands a visionary leader who can drive the design strategy, foster a user-centered design culture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional product experiences that meet the needs of our users and align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with the company's vision and goals.

- Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.

- Set high standards for design excellence and ensure consistency across all products and platforms.

- Champion a user-centered design approach, ensuring user needs and feedback are central to the design process.

Product Design:

- Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept development to final implementation.

- Create and maintain design systems, ensuring scalability and consistency across the product suite.

- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.

- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and deliver high-quality designs.

Innovation and Trends:

- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design and user experience.

- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies.

- Advocate for the integration of new design tools, techniques, and technologies to enhance productivity and creativity.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and other teams to ensure cohesive and impactful product development.

- Communicate design concepts and decisions effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

- Balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to deliver optimal solutions.

Performance Metrics:

- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of design initiatives.

- Use data and analytics to inform design decisions and improve user experience.

- Regularly report on design team progress, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

- Minimum of 12-18 years of experience in product design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

- Strong portfolio showcasing successful product design projects, with a focus on payment gateways or fintech solutions preferred.

- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.

- Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and usability testing.

Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
