About the Role:

Principal Data Scientist will be part of the leadership team led by Chief Data Scientist. With focus on Search and Recommendations, you will be responsible for building and leading a team solving the following problem statements : Principal Data Scientist will be part of the leadership team led by Chief Data Scientist. With focus on Search and Recommendations, you will be responsible for building and leading a team solving the following problem statements:

- Develop state-of-the-art techniques and algorithms for hyper personalized search and recommendation of content in the educational context

- Use data driven approaches to optimize users- search experience around improving learning outcomes, increasing engagement and boosting retention

- Build the intelligence capabilities required for Embibe to perform best-in-class query intent detection, document retrieval, document re-ranking in a personalized manner

- Mentor other data scientists in the team and help them grow their knowledge base

- Influence and shape the data mining capability roadmap and in-house competencies of the team, while publishing high impact articles in top tier peer reviewed conferences and journals, and enhancing Embibe's patent portfolio

What we are looking for in candidates:

- We are looking for data scientists with a strong background in natural language processing, data mining, machine learning, and statistics to join the Data Science Lab.

- If you are passionate about building sound solutions to hard problems at scale, you will love this role!

- B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD in Computer Science from IITs/ IISc, top NITs, or other premier institutions

- A minimum of eight years of industry experience with R&D skills

- Fluency in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit etc) or another scripting language

- Experience with R, Matlab, or other statistical tools

- Experience building scalable systems for personalized search and recommendations
