HEAD DATA ENGINEERING AND INITIATIVES

How often have you got an opportunity to lead a team that is tasked with solving a huge organizational requirement through disruptive and innovative technology?

We have a position for Data Engineering and Initiatives Lead. The leader in this role will work with the Head of Analytics to strengthen analytics team with quicker data acquisition and engineering the newly acquired and existing data by implementing the appropriate architecture, governance, monitoring and transformation. This leader will have a team of data engineers, ETL developers to create data conduits, perform automation for data provisioning, handle data quality and availability issues in close interaction with Enterprise Data warehouse team. The lead will be accountable to create and maintain analytics data pipelines that generates data + insight to power business decision making

In addition to the above, the leader in this role will be responsible for driving the initiatives as well within the Analytics team that takes the organization to next level. These initiatives will range from a typical build of end to end data pipelines to the implementation of latest machine learning algos to resolve business challenge. The ideal candidate for this lead in Analytics team will have industry-leading data design skills & a proven background in building the best data engineering team that can work across multiple development teams.

Mandatory skill set:

- Complete ownership of various data engineering initiatives, including gathering inputs from leadership and partner teams, roadmap planning and prioritization, promoting best practices, and grooming the team

- Ability to create end to end data pipelines for ensuring quality data availability using MS SQL Server tools, Python or R.

- Broadened knowledge of Analytics ecosystem in Financial sector and not just limited to current organization.

- Ability to think, consult, discuss and debate with multiple data engineering and solutioning approaches.

- Well-connected within the industry for data acquisition with alternate channels.

- Well versed with BFSI industry vendors for Analytics implementation in Credit underwriting, Fraud management, Collections and Servicing.

- Work closely with partners, professional services, analytics and other engineering groups for defining, designing, and delivering solutions

Experience:

- 11+ years of experience in Data warehouse, ETL and project leadership

- Knowledge of Google Analytics or Google Cloud Platform will be an added advantage

- Prior experience in Machine Learning, Data Modelling and Data Management

- Knowledge of Indian Banking and NBFC ecosystem
