Head - Data Engineering - Banking Technology

Role : The candidate will focus on building solutions, blueprints and accelerators which helps our P&L and sales organization to gain mind share of technology and banking leaders within the target banks.

The Data Engineering head needs to be an expert on various architectures, latest tools, current and future trends in data engineering space especially Big Data, streaming technologies, internet-scale distributed architectures on and off the cloud.

This person must have strong management communication skills and the ability to plan and execute in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hive, Impala, Kudu etc.) and have at least 2 Big data implementations on platforms like Cloudera, MapR, HortonWorks etc.

- Expertise in emerging technologies (NoSQL, Distributed Processing, In-Memory data bases, Cloud Data Platforms including the likes of Snowflake, Dremio etc)

- Ability to identify the whitespaces in the emerging technologies and make investments to develop frameworks and solutions.

- Ability to partner with marketing and business unit leaders to enable Go To Market steps.

Education:

- An engineer with masters with excellent academic achievements from reputed institutions

Experience:

- A minimum of 18+ years of total experience with at least 6 years in technical leadership role of data engineering and analytics either in boutique big data services organization or big data lab or expert groups of large MNC services organizations. BFSI exposure is preferable.
