Job Title : Head, Data Analytics & Data Science

Reports to : Software Engineering Group

Overview of the opportunity :

As Head, Data Analytics and Data Science COE, you will be part of the software engineering group and will have the opportunity to

- Shape the company's future towards a data-driven organization, create new opportunities for product and process optimization, and derive actionable insights and drive complex business decisions using a range of data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and ML techniques

- Create valuable, transformative business strategies through the measurement, manipulation, analysis and BI reporting of structured and unstructured data, across multiple source systems

- Build COE which will provide the ability to work with customers in building and implementing and holistic data life cycle management capability

- Work with customers, business owners, internal stakeholders and software architects to design the digital outcome of network, cloud and mobility products from vision till adoption for the company

The candidate is expected interface with customers, product & business teams, IT Infrastructure teams and other key software engineering functions such as architecture and development.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications/experience:

- 12+ years of working experience in statistical modelling and/or machine learning techniques

- BE or PhD degree in the field of Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Mathematics

- Experience in Statistical Learning : Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics, Web Analytics, Parametric and Non-parametric models, Regression, Time Series, Dynamic/Causal Model, Statistical Learning, Guided Decisions, Topic Modeling

- Experience in Machine Learning, supervised and unsupervised: Forecasting, Classification, Data/Text Mining, NLP, Decision Trees, Adaptive Decision Algorithms, Random Forest, Search Algorithms, Neural Networks, Deep Learning Algorithms

- Advanced programming skills in at least two of the following languages: R/Python (mandatory), MATLAB, SAS, Java, Git, Spark, Scala
