Job Overview:

- We are seeking a strategic and experienced Credit Underwriting Head to lead our underwriting and risk team.

- The ideal candidate has 10+ years of underwriting experience with strong expertise in sectors like infrastructure, manufacturing, real estate, and renewables.

- This role involves making critical credit decisions aligned with our risk appetite and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee credit underwriting processes for high-value transactions across multiple sectors.

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and risk assessments to evaluate borrower creditworthiness.

- Develop and implement credit policies that align with the company's risk framework.

- Review and approve large, complex credit proposals, ensuring adherence to credit standards.

- Collaborate with business development teams to structure risk-mitigating deals that meet client needs.

- Monitor and manage the overall credit portfolio within acceptable risk parameters.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters and analysts.

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic conditions affecting the credit landscape.

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in credit underwriting with exposure to sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, real estate, and renewables.

- Proven track record in MSME credit underwriting at top-tier banks or NBFCs.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

- Professional certifications such as CA, FRM, or MBA are highly advantageous.
