Position based with a large Private Bank in Mumbai
Overall Job Description:
- Formulation and maintenance of Credit Risk Policy, MSME Policy, Policy on Real Estate Exposures, Collateral Management Policy, Policy for Sector Review and Additional Provisions for Stressed Sector Assets and other risk-related policies.
- Formulation and review of Country Risk Policy, stipulation of country exposure limits and devising monitoring mechanisms.
- Preparation of adhoc/exposure limit on country/ies as per the request from Business team
- Vetting of Bank Risk Policy. Stipulation of exposure limits for domestic and international banks and devising monitoring mechanisms
- Appraising of Bank risk exposure (including adhoc) basis request from Business team
- Vetting Credit related policies originating from Credit Dept./ FFR other units.
- Vetting of Product Programs pertaining to Credit. Providing inputs and mitigants to make it more robust and enhancing the framework.
- Base rate computation
- Vetting of Credit proposals from risk perspectives and suggesting mitigants and approving credit proposals / transactions as a credit committee member as per DOP.
- Transition Matrix - Generation and calculation of PDs for Corporate loan book
- Computation of LGD for Corporate/ SME segments
- Calibration of Rating models
- Documentations of processes and methodologies and IRB compliance
- Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Plan (ICAAP) - Review and Enhancement
- Disclosure Policy under New Capital Adequacy Framework - Implementation
- Basel Disclosure - Publications
- Credit Stress Testing Framework - reinforcement
- Risk Based Submission of various DCT Points tagged to Credit Risk
- RBI Indent Submission during annual RBS and Ad-hoc RBI submission on Credit Risk related requirements
- Stakeholders management such as Business, Credit, Audit, Compliance, IT, Finance etc. for various matters
- Monitoring, Maintenance and enhancement of various Rating Models - Large Corporate, Traders, SME, NBFC, Business Banking, Capital Market Brokers, Commodity Exchange Broker, LRD, WHR and other Internally developed models
Maintenance of Risk rating framework specifically includes:
- Updation/ Review of the methodology, risk factors and Weightage,
- Maintenance of the Rating and Appraisal software [RAM]
- Vetting Industry Risk Scores (IRS) from Cris Infac for the industries subscribed by us
- Assigning/updating IRS for the remaining industries
- Review of model performance
- Follow-up with the business units/depts. for cleaning up cases in RAM
- Analysis of overrides and notch up criteria under rating models
- Matters relating to RBI guidelines compliance through updataion of credit risk and related policies
- Risk Based Supervision. RBI, Internal Audit and Statutory Audit compliance
- Compliance and closure of action points of RMC/BOD/COD/RBI/IAD etc,
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
EDUCATION:
- Essential requirement: CA / MBA from premiere institute. CFA / FRM / PRM preferred.
- Preferred: MBA / Post - Graduate /CA WORK EXPERIENCE
- Essential requirement: 20 + Years of Experience credit risk role.
Any specific requirements:
- Proficient in MS tools.
- Familiarity with current regulatory environment on Credit Risk
- Management and industry best practices.

- Good analytical and presentation skills.
