Fast-growing NBFC is seeking a dynamic professional as Head of Credit Appraisal & Partnerships. The individual will play a pivotal role in setting, running, and owning the P&L for our Business Correspondence division.
This position requires a dynamic leader with a strategic mindset and strong expertise in portfolio management to drive the growth and profitability of the managed portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify new BC partners for the Company to set up and growth the BC portfolio and enhance market presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth.
Risk Management:
- Design and execute risk underwriting policy and framework to identify and engage high-potential and low-risk partners
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to proactively address risks and opportunities.
P&L Ownership:
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve profitability and growth targets for the Business Correspondence division.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure financial objectives are met.
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the identification, underwriting, and management of the managed portfolio to ensure optimal performance and risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement robust portfolio management processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment of team goals with overall business objectives and provide guidance and support to achieve success.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align business strategies and achieve mutual objectives.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and other key stakeholders to provide updates on portfolio performance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in financial services, preferably NBFC or MFI
- Proven experience in portfolio management, financial analysis, and P&L management, preferably in a financial services environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of driving business growth and achieving financial targets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
