We have the following requirement - in Mumbai

Head - Costing & Costing Transformation

Preferably CA 6-10 years of Experience or ICWA who is heading the costing team in pharma

Role:

- Lead Costing and Costing Transformation in terms of enabling right pricing, product rationalization and optimized profitability through accurate costing, pro-active evaluations and reporting.

- Costing Lead shall need to liaise with cross functions such as quality, strategy, business finance, manufacturing to ensure identification of right cost drivers to arrive at costs and also function closely with the business Technology team to enable systems developments, automations in reporting and analytics supported by team members.

Critical Deliverables:

- Budgeting of Product cost for all the business units - Development and maintenance of standard costs

- Support the Project Cost Team in the development of a standard costing system & COPA reporting, Manage the overall transition from the existing cost environment to a new standard cost system

- Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function - Budgeting, Quarterly updates, Cost audit and other statutory reporting's, schedules to quarterly/annual closing and other management reporting's.

- Provide support during the annual audit process by working with the auditors to answer queries and provide analysis as required in a timely manner.

- Run the month end process for inventory and Material costs, make sure all deadlines are met. Provide commentary and analysis for variances.

- Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management

- Support Business, Strategy and capex teams in evaluations of pricing by enabling them with the right costs and costs drivers .

- Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers

- Define policies and procedures for all cost accounting activities

Experience:

- Costing, Manufacturing plant Finance, Product Costing/ Financial planning and analysis only in Pharma background.

- Manufacturing/Costing & Financial planning and analysis in a Pharma background.

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of Accounting standards and Costing

- Accounting standards, Cost accounting standards, ABC Costing fundamental principles

Skills:

- Product costing, Interpersonal Skills, Team management, Cross functional coordination, Communication - written /Oral
