Highlights of department :

Cost and Scenario Management - Provide Financial Management globally to the GBM IT department ($1bn+ cost base; 7000+ people). Working as part of the COO office, the team play a key role in helping Senior IT understand and control their costs.

Responsibilities of the team include :

- Dedicated Asset Class financial advisory, including all reporting and MI needs surrounding customer charges and direct costs

- Centralised co-ordination of finance activities for planning, forecasting and budgeting

- Relationship management between Finance and GBM Business

- SME on all financial tools and cost processes

- Provision of tooling and maintenance of static data production of MI

Purpose of the job :

As a senior management position within Cost & Commercial Management, this role forms parts of the global leadership team. The purpose is to ensure the best delivery of Financial Management to the GBM IT Executive team and the ongoing development and maturity of the Cost Management function.

Responsible For :

Strategic :

- Work with the GBM IT COO leadership team to set the strategic agenda within the COO organisation, ensuring its successful implementation. Implement the target operating model for Cost Management, specifically the development of the Cost Management India team to ensure it operates as the core contributor and provider of GBM IT financial information.

Customer :

- Mature the Cost Management function, putting customers at the heart of the operation through the provision of accurate, timely and value-add financial reporting. Build a team that is recognised by the customer as the go-to point for of all aspects of financial management including strategic - what-if analysis.

Operational :

- Own and run the Financial reporting for one Asset class in addition to establishing and maturing the Cost Management team from a global perspective

- Ensure that the interdependencies with the other functions in the IT COO function are well defined, understood and operate smoothly

- Interact with various business and group colleagues, representing GBM IT Cost Management as a leading function within IT. Constructively challenge where necessary to ensure GBM IT Cost Management has the tools and data needed to provide accurate and timely reporting to its customers.
