- As the Corporate Centre head of the business, the incumbent will look into all the M&A activities for the business.
- Look out for opportunities for new Tie-ups for distribution of equipment in Construction & Mining and Industrial Machinery business segments, as may be appropriate and prepare business case for the same.
- Explore possibilities of new product lines and new geographies for existing businesses
- Responsible for (Strategic Planning exercise) of the business and its monitoring; co-ordination with Business Units / Corporate departments
- Responsible for developing relationships & negotiating with principals.
- Interaction with Reason for Interaction
- Corporate M&A Team Potential M&A opportunities, including strategic alliances
- Divestiture as may be necessary
- Corporate Strategy Team Routine interactions on strategic matters, industry related data & economy
- Strategic Planning Exercise
- Support on engagements with external consultants
- Corporate Legal Team Regular requirements on support/advice on Agreements & other Legal matters
- Corporate Communications Routine Interactions & seeking advice on Branding and other related matters
- Business unit heads Strategy for the units-New Product lines, geographies etc.
- Monitoring/analysis/benchmarking of business performance of BU
- Finance Head On Financial matters concerning the Strategic plan
- Offices of the Corporate Management Routine support on furnishing reports/information related to the BUs as sought on a regular basis
- Business Head Direct Reporting
Desired profile:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mech) or related field. Post graduation in Business Management preferable
- Experience: Minimum twenty (20) years'' experience with at least 5 years' experience in the Construction Machinery / Industrial Machinery/ Industrial Products domains
- Three to Five years of Strategic management experience in one or more of the following: 1. Management Consulting 2. Business administration 3. Strategic Planning.
- Member of a Task Force involved in developing strategic direction for an organization/business would be an added bonus.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate with all levels of senior leadership.
- Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into executable strategies; ability to develop and execute project plans.
- Skilled in team building, conflict resolution, and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment to includes credibility, respect, and trust.
- Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment while managing complexity and ambiguity.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Well networked in the industry
