- Advise on the communication implications for the organisation's plans and actions to ensure government opinion and other factors which could affect the organisation are taken into account.
- Monitor and analyse existing and pending/upcoming legislation and regulation, which may impact the organisation's operation and alert board as well as management on the same. Analyse alternatives and recommend appropriate action.
- Plan and coordinate an appropriate contact program between the senior representatives of the organisation and government officials including forums where a company viewpoint needs to be presented/taken into account from a government policy making perspective.
- Advocate organisation's position with the government representatives including maintaining communication links.
