ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contracting & Procurement Strategy:

- Develop and deploy an effective procurement strategy in line with the overall organization strategy. Over all responsible in structuring, implementing and controlling the contract management. Drive the implementation of SOPs for all activities of the Contracts Team including defining TAT's for all the activities to ensure consistency & standardization of Contract related activities. Coordinate with the Legal Department for validation of legal clauses for GCC, SCC, and other contract conditions

- Manage purchase

- Monitor deployment of procurement strategy leveraging on economies of scale and cost saving realizations wherever appropriate. Control and manage a robust RFI and RFP process for strategic sourcing needs. Lead and participate in high value and complex transactions overseeing the negotiations, governance mechanism and vendor performance.

Negotiations:

Ensure Proper Techno Commercial discussion and preparation of comparatives. Identify AHR and ALR. Involving in Techno-commercial Negotiation and recommendation of Contractor/Supplier. Monitor adherence to the Project budget and investigate any discrepancies.

Forward Planning and Forecasting: 

- Lead the process for forward planning and forecasting ensuring timely delivery. Coordinate with verticals, regions and the land acquisition teams etc. to estimate with accuracy a forecast for material requirements. Monitor the plan to control the supply chain and take corrective measures if required. -Ensure strategic, accurate and cost-effective procurement of materials across supply chains.

Quality and Internal Control/Checks:

- Review material quality periodically and give feedback to the vendors in case of issues. Establish and maintain a system of checks and controls to ensure that purchasing decisions are taken and transactions are carried out with integrity in line with company guidelines, policies and procedures. Realise and deliver cost savings, together with a range of additional benefits including improved supplier performance, improved quality of service and total cost of performance along with the risk mitigation plans.

Develop and Manage Human Resources:

- Provide leadership & motivation to the team through timely goal setting, capabilities development, performance feedback and career planning. Help recruit and retain competent and a high performing team delivering on the functional goals and targets of the department. Deliver a succession plan at each level within the department.

- Candidate should have a technical or an engineering degree with relevant experience in the field of supply chain, procurement and sourcing. A post-graduate degree in Business Management or Materials Management would be an added advantage.

- Minimum of 18 to 20 years of work experience in materials management, procurement, contracting and resource planning. Experience in leading the procurement function of a well-established real estate development company or any other allied industries like construction, heavy engineering or power plants.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Strategic & Technical :

- Qualified in allied disciplines like engineering or materials management

- Should have done high value contracts for project management, services for maintenance / modifications / expansion projects for SAP environment.

- Manage relationships and ability to work with partners and vendors building effective relationships and long term commitment from the supplier community

- Knowledge of materials management in the real estate

- Understanding of the various by-laws and time-tested contracting & tendering processes, Ability to effectively manage inventory.

- Knowledge of basic financial management, forecasting and budgeting.

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

- Excellent negotiation skills.

Behavioural:

- A strong leader, able to inspire and motivate a team,

- Excellent communication, presentational and interpersonal skills

- Self-motivated and proactive, enjoy working under pressure

- Attention to detail and ability to spot cost efficiencies with third party suppliers

- Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders in the organization.
