Functional Attributes :

- Help improve product, sales and marketing propositions and engagement with customers through understanding consumer behaviour and choice.

- Help the business to understand how consumer behaviour and choice drives value.

- Apply psychology in a consumer related context.

- Help the business by generating consumer insights which infirm the innovation and product development process, allow marketing directors to alter campaigns and build greater engagement and loyalty with our customer base.

- Contribute to brand, sales, marketing and product strategy formulation as well as supporting the development of key strategic initiatives for the business.

- Build and maintain influential relationships with key leaders across the organisation.

- Work with research teams across the business to scope and undertake research (ethnographic and focus group) which helps develop consumer insights and allows us to understand customer behaviour.

- Work effectively as part of the broader marketing and strategy team.

- Develop insight-led processes and understanding which will improve the timeliness and quality of commercial decision making.

- Work with the database function to ensure our data encompasses and reflects insight-led behavioural drivers.

- Distil complex research or analysis into simple and compelling recommendations for management.

Interpersonal Skill :

The ability to work with colleagues in supply chain, marketing and finance, to support business objectives through the delivery of customer intelligence

Other Attributes :

The ability to work with colleagues in the business and in the different departments in retailers to ensure that plans are implemented as agreed

Required Experience :

- Extensive experience in a similar senior role managing and delivering customer analysis, insights projects and strategic support.

- Experience in data analytics

- Experience working with/ for Western retailers

- Understanding of consumer behaviour in these markets

- Ability to cut through data to provide insight on products, ranges, locations and/ or consumers

- Familiarity with the FMCG business an advantage

- Familiarity with the tools of Dunnhumby and/ or Aimia an advantage

- Deep understanding of the UK / Overseas FMCG space

- Knowledge of Alterix and Tableau will be advantageous

- Customer oriented with commercial acumen

- Ability to think differently and challenge convention if it creates greater customer value.

- Proven ability to think logically and apply problem solving skills to create effective business solutions
