Job Description :


- We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our organization as the Head of Compliance for our International Operations in Australia. As the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust compliance framework that ensures adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Remote working set-up.


Client Details:

Our client is an Indian multinational in the Auto-Tech space headquartered in Gurgaon.

Description:

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance strategy and framework for our international operations in Australia, aligning with global compliance objectives and local regulatory requirements.

2. Stay abreast of international laws, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance across all areas of our operations in Australia.


3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, human resources, and operations, to establish and maintain effective compliance policies, procedures, and controls.


4. Conduct regular compliance assessments, risk assessments, and internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance or potential risks, and develop and implement appropriate remedial actions.


5. Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, fostering a strong compliance culture and ensuring a clear understanding of obligations and ethical standards.


6. Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations, representing the organization's compliance interests and staying informed about evolving regulatory changes.


7. Lead investigations into reported incidents of non-compliance or unethical behaviour, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate disciplinary actions, if necessary.


8. Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key compliance metrics, risks, and recommended actions.


9. Monitor and assess changes in international compliance regulations and industry trends, and proactively implement necessary adjustments to policies, procedures, and training programs.


10. Collaborate with global compliance teams to share best practices, align processes, and ensure consistency in compliance programs across international operations.


Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) preferred.

- Proven experience of 6-8 years in a compliance role, preferably in an international context.


- Strong knowledge of international compliance regulations and standards, with a focus on Australian regulatory requirements.


- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.


- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and experience conducting compliance audits.


- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address compliance-related issues effectively.


- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team.


- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


- High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to promoting a culture of compliance.
