Head of Compliance for International FMCG brand

Responsibility:

- Ensure organization functions are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies
- Ensure compliance related works with regard to statutory and regulatory requirements

- Conduct compliance risk assessment; evaluation of business activities to assess company risk areas

- Define and document internal compliance policies and procedures related to the standards established by the business that comply with applicable external legislations/regulations

- Responsible for implementation of compliance audits periodically on time

- Perform and manage daily compliance risk identification, inspection and reporting

- Develop and maintain preventive measures and establish all internal controls to adhere to compliance norms

- Manage and monitor updation of all company's records in relation with licenses, trade mark and intellectual property, patent, etc.

- Anticipate and advise management and leadership regarding updates/ changes in laws or regulations that could have an impact on business activities

- Establish a monitoring and reporting system to track compliance efforts, report violations, and recommend corrective actions.

- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and board, as and when required.

- Lead in developing a culture of compliance, setting an example for transparency and promoting an environment where speaking up in a professional manner is encouraged.

- Drive employee training and awareness on Compliance

Experience:

- LLB/LLM Graduate (university degree in law)

- In-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance best practices

- Sound business fundamentals

- Working in a Factory environment

- Working in Indian Industry

- Effective liasoning with regulatory authorities

- Understanding of compliance aspects in international and transversal environment (focus Indian region)

- Experience in a listed organization, present or recent past
