Our client is a startup founded by alumnus of IIM C and MDI Gurgaon. The company operates in the fin-tech domain, helping customers to improve their credit ratings and get access to better financing options and also providing leads and sales enablement services to companies in the BFSI domain. The company is a stable one with a track record of 5 years in which it has helped millions of retail customers improve their credit health and get access to better financing options.

As the Collections Head, you will be responsible for managing the collection process and ensuring that over dues are within trigger levels. You will be accountable for reducing delinquency and improve recovery rates on the assigned Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing subordinate staff (collection agents) in the day-to-day performance of their jobs

- Developing and administering credit and collection programs

- Ensuring that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets

- Monitoring and negotiating on the collection of overdue accounts

- Monitoring credit and collection processes and operations, ensuring compliance and making recommendations on opportunities for improvement

- Improvising the existing processes for enhancing the current business productivity

- Monitoring collection officers & collection, repossession agencies working in the designated area

- Checking if security with NPA Customers are secure and available

- Attending to Audit comments/compliance to audit observations

- Following-up of OD/initiating recovery steps till logical conclusion

- Monitoring the KPIs of the team and performance of collection & repossession agencies

- Scanning environment and being up to date on emerging trends globally on collection analytics and building use cases

Candidate Profile:

- Demonstrable industry experience of 3 - 5 years in handling collections at Bank/NBFC

- Graduate degree required ; PG degree is a great plus

- Ability to be innovative and excel to implement the change faster

- Should have strong analytical capabilities to project the portfolio better

- Excellent Communication and negotiation skills

- Good time management skills and presentation skills
