Responsibility:
You will be responsible to manage the collections team and ensure your portfolio maintains optimal performance. You will set up collections strategy to establish priorities, and manage a team while supporting hands-on tactical activities as necessary to achieve the company's goals. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing effective collection strategies and procedures to minimize delinquency and improve the overall collection process.
- Managing a team of collectors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team goals are met.
- Monitoring and reviewing collection activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Analyzing and reporting on collection performance, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Overseeing the negotiation and settlement of outstanding debts, maintaining professional and positive relationships with customers.
- Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to collections, ensuring compliance and adapting strategies accordingly.
- Preparing regular reports and presenting findings to senior management, highlighting collection results, trends, and potential risks.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in a quantitative field, advanced preferred
- 5+ years experience in global consumer credit/debt collections
- 10+ years in a leadership role in a high-tech, fast-paced environment
- Experience with U.S. regulations including FDCPA, Reg Z, TILA, UDAAP
