Job Description : 

The position will report directly to the Business Unit Head and be responsible for:

- Provides the scientific expertise and direction for India LOC research plans across therapeutic areas. Interacts with ICMEA, GEM, and Global Clinical Teams and other internal partners to ensure alignment with overall company and product strategies. Leads internal multidisciplinary teams to drive critical research program decisions. This includes working in alignment with regulatory, PV, clinical operations and DM.

- Sets the strategic publications directions for related research. Authors/supports publication and presentation of data generated through clinical research.

- Closely works with Medical Responsible for assigned studies to ensure scientific conduct of study, incl. development of medical oversight plans. Performs Medical Oversight activities under the direction of the Medical Responsible.

- Reviews and assesses overall study safety information in conjunction with Pharmacovigilance and assigned Medical Responsible.

- Lead and participates in India SEC meeting to ensure smooth approval and execution of clinical studies under Takeda

Profile : 

An ideal candidate must have the following:

- MD candidates with 8-10 years of clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

- MBBS/ PhD >10-15 years of clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical industry

- An experience of having led the operations of Clinical Research Team is preferred
