This job profile is a new role in GM Ops Change created to support the 2020 Strategy and align the Change organisation to the new GM Ops global management structure.

It takes generic information from the role description for - GBM Senior Programme Managers- created as a result of centralising all change delivery in GM Operations in October 2016 and adds role specific information for this particular remit: - Senior Programme Manager- Global Service Centres, Global Markets Ops

ROLE CONTEXT

- Senior Programme Managers lead and manage large scale complex global strategic change programmes and business transformations with the business and delivery partners. They act as a role model, leading as one global team, demonstrating active leadership and communication. As a senior leader they need to be able to operate at executive level, across regions and global businesses.

- Senior Programme Managers are responsible for deploying the GCD Programme Management framework and other Business Transformation Frameworks within their programme and instilling good programme disciplines within their programme and across Global Change Delivery and the Group.

- The role holder has end to end responsibility for all aspects of the programme, including definition, controlling, execution, change management and implementation.

- They are also responsible for effective handover to the business to support effective benefits realisation.

- They work closely with the Portfolio Manager and Global Management Services team to ensure alignment of their programme with the wider change portfolio and the Group Strategy, Values and Behaviours.

- Senior Programme Managers will often play a people / team management role within the projects / programmes they work on.

- They will also have line management responsibility for a group of more junior resources within their resource pool (as related to their job family).

- Alongside programme delivery responsibilities, the Senior Programme Manager will have responsibility for a pool of Programme Managers, Senior Project Managers and Project Managers (being responsible for people management, performance management, resource management and professional development). However, Senior Programme Managers supporting Head of Global Change Delivery (Business / Function) will not manage any pool of resources.
