Role: Head of Product & Category Growth
Owner of entire beauty portfolio mix. Lead product development, market entry, market share growth, channel mix & NPS for each category. Responsible for P&L, new customer acquisition & retention strategy for all categories to meet market share & revenue growth KPIs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (brand, channel sales/growth, creative) and external agencies and stakeholders. Build an innovation & insight led approach to win.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of annual operating plan for the business. Work closely with channel, brand & creative to deliver on the same.
- Lead the portfolio mix planning to meet brand growth goals & ambitions
- Lead the P&L for every category, particularly optimizing gross margins & marketing costs
- Lead the innovation funnel. End to end management of all NPD / product development in collaboration with R&D.
- Develop all aspects of each category: Product, Identity, Architecture, Positioning, Price, Channel Mix.
- Initiate and drive category, competition, consumer and customer/ shopper research to drive actionable insights.
- Build the new trial & customer retention strategy of each category.
- Work closely with brand & creative teams to build effective communication for each category.
- Work closely with brand & channel teams to evolve product/price/positioning in order to optimize growth & marketing costs.
- Work with brand team for key categories in which you make use of full marketing mix.
- Work on product & category experience to drive excellent NPS.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors of Engineering / Science / Math / Economics / Medicine + MBA from a premier institute.
- 8-14 yrs of growth/sales/business experience.
- Experience in consumer facing B2C industries and minimum of 5years in consumer product led brands.
- Fair mix of experience in both digital-first businesses as well as legacy brand businesses.
- Very strong analytical skills - Data forward decision. Clear fundamentals on reading/ implementing research (qual and quant) insights on category development & shopper behavior.
- Clear framework led thinking.
- Strong pulse of female consumer behavior & knack to understand consumer psychology.
- Strong solutioning ability with a creative bent of mind towards business problems.
- Consumer/ customer first approach and demonstrated experience.
- Independent decision making ability.
- Ability to sustain & enhance the strong collaborative culture of the organization.
- Strong bias towards action & hustle.
- Excited about building a long term brand.
