Reporting to Category Head

Location Mumbai

This individual will own the topline/ revenue agenda for the organization with key deliverables on increasing subscriptions, users, viewers, time spent and building stickiness with a best in class customer experience. The incumbent should be an experienced online business professional and will have responsibility to design, implement and drive revenue build up initiatives while working with platform, content, and marketing teams.

Core responsibility will be to maximizecategory revenues by building a world-class discovery and viewing experience for customers, expanding relevant selection with content teams, and helping to define, shape and execute long-term strategic initiatives and achieve revenue while collaborating with marketing. The successful candidate will have experience working with cross functional product and tech teams to build innovative, new technology; and excellent verbal and written communication skills. He or she must have the analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get stuff done and deliver results no matter the obstacles. Key to success also include a strong interest in the industry, the desire to create a unique and compelling customer experience, and a passion customers.

The role's responsibilities include:

The role will have several key responsibilities, including:

- Hindi Originals Category strategy and PnL ownership: Work closely with Leadership on planning and business strategy, drive best-in-class customer experience and maximize revenue growth through timely analysis and action.

- Work with cross functional marketing teams to co-own and optimize marketing strategy to meet yearly goals and using performance data to drive decision making

- Business development: You will work closely with Leadership team to help partner strategic organizations and drive revenue with new opportunities.

- Project management: Lead a variety of projects that impact the broader SVOD business objectives.

- Customer experience: Innovate with our product and tech teams to drive optimal customer experience across viewing platforms.

The successful candidate must be able to:

- Act as the - business owner- for his/her category, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects to achieve business objectives

- Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver site features that provide customers with an unparalleled viewing experience

- Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating featuring and promotion strategies

- Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines for high visibility projects

- Demonstrated ability and willingness to operate autonomously, roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done; general manager / owner mentality.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, have proven data analysis skills, show strong ownership/commitment, have proven leadership experience in managing projects, and bring relevant insights in technology. Customer obsession is a must.

Education and experience

- MBA from a Tier 1 premier institution

- 8-10 years of experience in Category and Revenue Management inconsumer internet / ecommerce or online Media.

- Exposure to businessoutcome asquantified business objectives

- Proven analytical skills and highly comfortable with numbers

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation

- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

- Broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving environment

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing and speaking skills

- Experience in leading teams and people management required
