Responsibilities :
The Head of Operations will be leading the Business Operations and Service part for the business while managing Operations through outsourced partners. There is a need to think in a different and innovative way and come up with ideas that are new and unconventional which could provide an edge and help create a distinguisher.
The role is expected to understand the Credit Card lifecycle completely and must have handled very big volumes with a large Bank where transactions run into a few millions. The incumbent must bring in a very holistic perspective so as to help maximize the potential from every aspect of operations.
The role would be expected to understand the topline and bottom-line specifically pertaining to the Credit Card business which would help in strengthening the process and providing a differentiated service offering to the customers.
Will be responsible for all of Process re-engineering, Process Automation, Process Rationalization, Vendor /Partner Management/Audits with a strong focus on Continuous Improvements and Continuous Quantum Cost Reduction,Efficiency enhancements.
Enable new Product / Service Launches.
While the role would begin with responsibility for Credit Cards Operations, going forward will also manage Digital/Mobile Payment Processing.
The incumbent must have experience and appreciation of changing trends especially when it comes to digitization, mobile wallet and businesses that are run on mobile applications. It would be very important to adapt to the new trends and provide solutions that suit the customers- future-looking needs. This will not only help in consolidating relationships for the current business, it would also help in opening up new avenues and take this route to those mode of payments as well.
Requirements :
- 20+ yrs of total experience with good academic qualifications,
- Proven credential to conceptualize, lead and implement business plans,
- Prior experience of having worked in a Bank and handled all aspects of high-volume Credit Card / Other Card Operations,
- An understanding of the digital marketplace business model,
- An appreciation for consumer online behavior from a payments operations perspective,
- Hands-on approach and strong execution skills,
- Ability to lead a large team and experience of being a part of a growing business,
- Ability to deal with ambiguity; ability to think through and act on different options,
- Be hard-working and diligent, discipline to convert strategy into action,
- Thinking out of the box and come up with innovative solutions,
- Ability to come up with solutions that would reduce cycle-times drastically,
- Ability to work with an organization at different stages of growth and modify one's approach according to the need,
- Prior experience of Six Sigma / BPR / Transformation / Business Excellence would be a clear advantage.
