Key Responsibility Areas:-
The candidate would be responsible for
- Prepare Mobile Category level Business plans of top & bottom-line and ensure teams work towards delivering the same.
- Formulating Supplier Strategy (Sourcing & Margin) for Categories & continuously evolving the product lines for higher turns & margins.
- Drive Category Heads to maintain healthy business relationship with Suppliers and Brand partners ensuring Product quality & margins
- Study the market consumption and fluctuations for various products and anticipate future demands.
- Identify trends of shortages and implement robust reporting and shortage contingency plans.
- Evaluate the performance of each categories on the basis of certain defined Business matrices like Sell thru’s, SPSF, & GMROI.
- Conduct regular Category performance reviews with Category & Operations heads with detailed analysis and drive teams to take corrective action where ever required.
- Ensure continuous upgrade of the merchandise in terms of price & quality and regularly benchmark product & pricing across defined competition.
- Expertise in managing various kinds of customer segments and controlling Buying from Suppliers, Fixation of Pricing for buying and selling by devising & implementing the right mix at the right time.
- The key role is to formulate the strategy for the Mobiles and enable the team to deliver the desired KRAs in line with the overall strategy
- While playing the role of buyer - conduct significant market research in the respective product category (customer preferences, industry trends, competitive pricing), understand the cost spread and arrive at an optimal price to buy the product from the suppliers to ensure product profitability.
- Procurement, Price Fixation and Buying Operations, across different product segments and areas/ markets; with different location characteristics. .Including technical evaluation of the products prior to buying.
Desired Candidates Profile:-
- Must have excellent track record and be a achiever.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communications, high energy levels, confident, energetic & zeal to perform and leadership qualities.
- Must have good Analytical skills, should be good in concepts, Business Strategy, Corporate Services, Real Estate, Events
- Must have minimum experience of 12 yrs in Buying, Sourcing and Merchandising
- Extensive Know how of business functioning in the retail stores and their revenue generation stream.
- Clear understanding of the franchise business and should have appointed at least 30-40 profitable franchisees in his career.
- Understanding of a multicity Supply chain is critical.
- A good team builder
Target focused approach is essential.
Note-People having experience in Buying for the Mobile/Consumer Durable Category would be of Relevance .
