Client: Eyewear Brand
- Only from Eyewear brand is preferred
- Garner customer and market insights to define the range of products and price points at category level; upgrade periodically based on changing trends and forecasts.
- Use the insights on trend, product, price, shape, and color to set the business targets including margin and inventory turn ratio for the category in consultation with the Head Business Unit.
- Past performance analysis as well as market / competition analysis for trends and price changes
- Guide the buyers on finalizing the range plan based on trend forecasts, feedback from previous season's / year's sell-through analysis, etc.
- Ensure a winning collection in terms of product mix and quantity is chosen and made within target costs; monitor the retail mathematics to determine open-to-buy (OTB) limits, costs and pricing to achieve the gross margin for the category, balancing between brands within the category.
- Facilitate availability of the right product at the right place and time through retail merchandisers who manage the distribution to stores in coordination with SCM; this includes replenishment and replacements; ensures that the inventory levels are managed within margin constraints and collaborate with SCM to achieve the same.
- Monitor and push sales performance through retail managers to ensure targets for the brand /category are achieved; this includes sales promotions, customer feedback as well as providing support in training to store staff on the seasonal collections to highlight the unique aspects and in turn enhance sales.
- Conduct weekly reviews against Business Plan and initiate any in-season planning, corrective action and liquidation of stock to be done; consolidate inputs from retail manager
