Reliance Retail (RRL) Marketplace :
The Marketplace business is an internet-commerce based platform where sellers across various domains can list their products, pricing and positioning, while receiving support from the marketplace owners in terms of warehouse and logistics, paying a service fee to the marketplace platform in exchange for the listing and e-commerce services.
This is different from traditional e-commerce inventory model, where the e-commerce platform owner also owns inventory, and hence is traditionally an asset-heavy model. 3P Marketplace business on the other hand, is an asset-light model.
JioMart, a part of Reliance Retail is in search of a seasoned, dynamic and passionate Leader for Head - Business Planning and Program role (Leadership role) to join our Marketplace team and help us continue our tradition of unparalleled customer satisfaction. This role has four broad pillars - 1. People & Team Management, 2. Business Planning, Tracking & Monitoring, 3. Program Management, 4. Business Intelligence. More details given below.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-Ownership of P&L metrics for a business unit
- Own mid to long term planning, selection, pricing and in stock directions/strategies for all categories via a team of business planners
- Work with cross functional teams to understand business drivers and to drive strategic goals and initiatives
- Own primary planning deliverables of Daily/Monthly Revenue and Margin Planning, Merchandise & Assortment Planning, etc
- Conduct market research for business benchmarking exercises
- Create business plans, aided by data modelling and analytics in the process of business planning
- Take ownership to drive automation and proactive alerts/mechanism within respective category functions
- Ownership of BAU reporting and operations with respect to category
- Monitor regular compliance against key planning metrics like: Selection, In stock, DOH, P&L metrics, Price Comp, Operation Efficiency Metrics, Business Performance Audit metrics, etc
- Be the single source of truth on business performance and analytics
Skills Required
- Strong communication, team management, and project management skills
- Strong analytical skills - Proficiency and work experience in Ms-Office is must
- Working knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI and SQL is additional benefit
